3 kids ages 5 and under + 1 mom + 2:15 am train ride. -- "Hey kids, we're going on the Polar Express!" -- I made it fun :) I bought the kids new pajamas for their special train ride. But.. instead of the North Pole, we were going to grandma and grandpa's house, I think they preferred their destination over the book's.
The kids and I left a week earlier than Jeff for Christmas break... letting Jeff put in some solid research hours before his break. So ... on Wednesday at 11:30 PM we made the trek up to the Spokane train station... boarded our train at 2:00 am .... no sleep ... happy excited children ... they really were awesome ... Seth accidently pushed the emergency stop button (all the lights went out and the train stopped for a few minutes) ... lots of cuddling ... arrived in Seattle at 10:00 am ... drove to Oak harbor. It was a long early morning of traveling. It was an adventure, experience, and mostly I think it was worth the exhaustion :)
bu-bu-bu-busy
I'm going to make a list of things that I've meant to blog about... and never did (I've been so busy lately):
-Seth's Thanksgiving feast at school
-Seth's craft day at school
I brought Raya and Levi to these school events, and it was fun to share a day at school with Seth and get to know some of his new friends a bit better.
-Took the boys to the WA/ID symphony
-Took Seth to A Christmas Carol
-Boys' first solo day performance at suzuki strings with their real violins :)
-Went to the community tree lighting ceremony (... which they lighted early). Saw Santa butch, listened to carolers and drank hot cocoa.
-Went to Banyans brunch and saw Santa butch again... Raya was more than terrified. She couldn't even look at him, and would say, "I can't like him."
-Ornament exchange party -- thoughts: I find myself in between two difference phases -- student life -- grown up "real people" life. At the party I was the youngest by 10 years (at least) ... a group of talented educated women, immaculate display, decadent food. -- I'm liking this time of life, I get the best of both worlds :)

12:00 drop Seth off at school
2:30 Levi violin lesson
3:00 Seth violin lesson
4:00 Suzuki class lesson.
8:42 One tired mom.
boom boom let me hear you say wayo
Sorry, random song in my head... (it may be past my bedtime... or the bedtime that I should have if I ever actually kept one).
ahem... Jeff turned 28!
We watched the Apple Cup for his birthday... which luckily coincided with his parents buying a new 65" tv.... It was a treat for Jeff to actually watch a game instead of listening it to the radio. (He's a very dedicated fan). It was a treat for me not having to listen to those idiotic commercial jingles. (tap tap -- mike check: ...we're Meyers auto rebuild and towing, where service is no accident! .... everyone knows the place to go Deranleaus appliance, audio... video.)
Lets see I'll just list what's in the pictures: ... football pizza, football cheeseball... apples slices, coug colored chips, cheese cake, I made cougar shirts (go cougs) oh.. and Jeff opening his gift certificate for SKY DIVING. He said he's never been so surprised. (I know, I'm a good wife)... (but that's only because he's a good husband) .... Happy birthday Jeff!
