I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day :) Jeff went all out this year and enlisted himself in what he called the MFAD (Mother For A Day) program, in which he cooked cleaned changed diapers etc while I got to put up my feet and relax. He made some very scrumptious meals (apple/chocolate crepes for breakfast, and grilled chicken with rice for dinner) and spoiled me so much by doing all the cleaning this weekend I jokingly asked him tonight as I was clearing up dinner, "Can't every day be mother's day?" This picture is part of my Mother's Day card Jeff made describing the different duties of the MFAD program. He is so funny. We also went on a date Saturday night (Thank You Holmes!!!) and ate at the Red Door , it was wonderful. I love being a mother and I love my family :) I can't differentiate myself from them.

My nights with Levi:
Or How can an hour last so long?
Lots of people have kids. Its necessary for survival of the species, but why, oh why, do they ALL hate sleep?! Well, at least mine do when they’re babies. I can’t understand it either. I love sleep. Sleep is beautiful; sleep is one of my top three things that I enjoy doing (right behind eating). Aren’t children supposed to be like their parents? I can’t imagine that I EVER fought (literally) tooth and nail to stay awake at 1:30 in the morning. It wouldn’t even be that bad if it was just going to sleep that was the problem; oh no, Levi doesn’t like STAYING asleep. It is as if sleep is a personal affront to his character.
"A plague o'both your houses!"

.... or at least the Ritter's house.
Our poor family since October, it seems like, one of us has been sick. It also seems as if our cold season is going out with a bang ... even our fish is sick! A run down of our past weeks ailments: Wednesday (4.23.08) Levi and Seth have ear infections, Friday Jeff vomits and is sick with nausea until Monday, Monday Seth throws up 13 times looses 3lbs and receives a prescription for anti-nausea medicine, Tuesday- until present Seth for the most part is able to keep down food and water but still is nauseated and listless. Wednesday Levi's infected with this horrible virus and begins vomiting. I can't count the number of times I've watched "Cars" this week and Laundry has been a monster! I've commented to Jeff that I wont get sick until Saturday so he can take care of me :)
